From census records and a surviving envelope addressed to him, we know that Edwin lived at 119 Howard Street, Dumont, NJ in December 1946. Other than that, and a few photos and drawings, nothing more is known about how he spent his last years.
It is unknown whether the drawing below is a self-portrait or or a sketch drawn by an artist known as “Fern.”
Edwin G. Lutz died on March 30, 1951. His cremated remains are buried in a cemetery on Long Island, NY. It is believed that the birth date on his marker is incorrect. Family records, as well as ancestry documents, show that he was born August 26, 1868. The family wishes to keep Edwin’s burial location private.
